Tamron has filed a patent for a new hort-telephoto prime lens in Japan. The new patent describes the Tamron FE 85mm f/1.8 VC lens designed for Sony mirrorless cameras with full-frame image sensors.
The lens in the patent application features an 85mm focal length along with a maximum aperture of f/1.8 and built-in image stabilization technology.
On the other hand the internal design of the Tamron 85mm f/1.8 VC lens patent is identical to the one of the Batis 1.8/85 lens. That’s why this lens could also be the recently-announced Zeiss Batis Sonnar T* 85mm f/1.8.
