Zeiss has announced the new Batis lenses for Sony Alpha series mirrorless cameras with full-frame image sensors. First Zeiss Batis 2/25 and 1.8/85 lens sample images now official at their Flickr page.
Zeiss has posted several high-resolution sample images taken with their new Batis 2/25 and Batis 1.8/85 lenses mounted to a variety of Sony cameras.

One of them is an 56-megapixel portrait taken with the Batis 1.8/85 telephoto prime. The pixel size is 8910×6300, with the aspect ratio being 1.41:1, suggesting that the photograph has been cropped to this size from an even higher-resolution original.
According to latest Sony rumors, this new mysterious Sony camera could be the upcoming A7R successor model which is probably be named as the Sony A7RII or the long-rumored flagship Sony A9.

The Zeiss Batis 2/25 FE lens is a wide-angle prime lens, and Zeiss Batis 1.8/85 FE lens is a fast prime lens. These two lenses are the first full-frame autofocus lenses with an OLED display for the Sony Alpha full frame E-mount cameras.
Both lenses will be released & available for buy in July, 2015. The price for Zeiss Batis 2/25 lens is $1,299, the price for Zeiss Batis 1.8/85 lens is $1,199.
