Tamron has filed a patent for a new macro lens in Japan. The new patent describes the Tamron FE 90mm f/2.8 lens designed for Sony mirrorless cameras with full-frame image sensors.
Along with the FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro, Tamron has filed several new lens patents for Sony Full Frame mirrorless cameras. Pending patents are 120mm f/2.8, 60mm f/2.8, 180mm f/2.8, 300mm f/2.8 lenses.
This would be good news for the current Sony A7-series FE-mount users. As Tamron produce such good lenses with an affordable price.
When it becomes available in the market, the Tamron FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro full frame e-mount lens will sure be a cheaper alternative when compared to the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 G OSS lens.
