Toshiba has officially announced the world’s first SDHC memory card with built-in NFC at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 in Las Vegas.
Users with smartphones running on Android 4.0 or above can install a free application called Memory Card Preview. The user can tap the card to view a thumbnails of 16 images and see the NFC-ready card, and the contents of the memory card will be revealed.
Unfortunately, the application can only display up to 16 photos at a time and they cannot be transferred to an Android smartphone or tablet.

Aside from NFC, the world’s first SDHC memory card with NFC from Toshiba will become available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB versions. The pricing details have not been revealed, yet.
The new cards are on display at CES 2015 in Las Vegas and the press release can be seen at Toshiba’s Japanese site.
