According to latest rumors, the Sony A9 will not be revealed before March 2015, but the good thing is the FE-mount mirrorless camera is coming in 2015, sources say.
The latest reports from SonyAlphaRumors has revealed that the Sony A9 announcement date is not scheduled to take place before March.
Previously Sony A9 rumored for the CP+ 2015 show and said to be the flagship model. The FE-mount mirrorless camera said to be placed above the A7 series. Now the rumor mill in talks for a later release of the device.
Sony A7RII Could Be The Next High-Resolution Full Frame Mirrorless Camera
Sony is on verge to announce a high-megapixel mirrorless camera with a full frame sensor in the coming weeks. The Sony A7r is the rumored model to be replaced by the A7RII within the next two weeks period probably at CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2015 in mid-February which will take place in Japan.
So what we have in hand is Sony will probably announce a big-resolution full-frame E-mount model but it is not clear if it will be the previously-rumored A9 or the A7RII.
Our guess, the company will definitely hold an announcement for the CP+ show to announce a new FE-mount mirrorless model. It will most likely be the Sony A7R successor. But we will have to wait until mid-February to see if it’s A9 or A7RII.
Even we see the A7R Mark II in February, this also proves that the Sony A9 announcement date scheduled for late 2015, as mentioned above.
