The entry-level DSLR camera Nikon D5500 has been announced at CES 2015 expo. First Nikon D5500 sample images are also now official on Nikon USA website.
The newly announced Nikon D5500 features a 24.2 megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor with no optical low-pass filter. The DSLR comes with a full articulated touch screen. The D5500 is powered by an EXPEED 4 image processor, Full HD 1080p video with notable low-light sensitivity up to ISO 25600 and up to 5 fps. See more at the official announcement page.

Nikon D5500 DSLR Camera Price and Release Date
The Nikon D5500 will be offered in three kit options: body-only for $899.95, with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II for $999.95, or with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR for $1,199.95. The D5500 will be available in early February in black or red body options.
