DxO OpticsPro v10.2: An improved workflow

Based on a rigorous scientific calibration of photographic equipment in DxO’s laboratories, DxO OpticsPro 10 offers the most powerful tools for automatically processing RAW and JPEG images: revolutionary PRIME denoising technology, DxO Smart Lighting intelligent exposure optimization, and DxO ClearView elimination of haze.

DxO OpticsPro v10.2 optimizes its tools in order to further simplify the workflow for photographers. The Windows version now offers improved slider reactivity in order to more quickly see the corrections applied to the images; gives immediate access to projects; and optimizes the interface for its Horizon tool. A new “Live View” feature automatically displays each new image as it is added to the current folder — a particularly useful tool for photographers who are working with a camera attached to their computer. As for the Mac version, the reactivity of its settings has been improved when working with a selection of multiple images.

Finally, these two versions benefit from an entirely redesigned EXIF palette so that users can see all of the shooting parameters at a glance.

A more comfortable DxO FilmPack v5.1

Praised by professionals for the faithfulness of its analog renderings, DxO FilmPack lets photographers apply to their digital images high-fidelity analog film presets, as well as many original presets, filters, tonings, and visual effects, which they can combine in infinite ways. Thanks to a hyper-intuitive user interface and support for RAW format, DxO FilmPack conveys the all the emotion of creative photography while preserving image quality.

DxO FilmPack v5.1 offers an even more comfortable work experience. Full-screen mode devotes more of its space to the image by letting users hide the toolbar, and the appearance of the histogram, the navigator, the tone curve, and the sliders has been improved for better readability.

First appearing in version 5.0.1 of the software, the identity cards of available film presets give users access to information about the films that made photographic history: creation date, characteristics, grain type, uses, and anecdotes. A veritable encyclopedia of analog film, this database was updated in version 5.1 to allow users to create their own descriptions of custom presets.
