Nikon D5500 entry-level DSLR camera is rumored to be announced at CES 2015 show which will happen in the first week of January in Las Vages.
According to recent rumors, Nikon is expected to announce two new DX-format (APS-C sensor) DSLR cameras in early 2015. Nikon D5500 is on the horizon to replace the latest D5300 model in the beginning of January.
The other one will be the previously rumored Nikon D7200 mid-range DX-format DSLR. The D7100 replacement model will most probably be announced at CP+ 2015 in mid-February. It is also not clear why Nikon decided to skip the D5400 iteration.
Nikon D5500 DSLR Camera Price and Release Date
The Nikon D5500 will be offered in three kit options: body-only for $899.95, with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II for $999.95, or with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR for $1,199.95. The D5500 will be available in early February in black or red body options.

Nikon D5500 DSLR with Touchscreen Coming in Early 2015
As posted earlier, first specs list have been leaked online for the upcoming Nikon’s high-end DX-format camera which will probably called Nikon D7200. In addition to the new DX cameras, Nikon to announce a new 24mm f/1.8 lens in January – February period.
The Nikon 24mm f/1.8 version is expected to be much cheaper than the current 24mm f/1.4 lens. See below for the Nikon D5500 rumored specifications list.
