Egami has discovered a new patent filed by Canon. The new patent describes the EF-S 11-24mm f/3.5-4.5 lens designed for APS-c sized sensor Canon DSLRs.
The EF-S 11-24mm f/3.5-4.5 wide-angle zoom lens in the patent looks as a replacement to the very good EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. We do not know the details yet but it is possible that Canon could add STM feature to their wide-angle zoom lenses with better optic quality.
Canon has announced the new EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lens on May 12 which is such a good lens with an affordable price.
