Olympus Stylus 1s Premium Compact Camera Announced in Japan

Olympus has announced the replacement for the Stylus 1 premium compact camera which is named as Stylus 1s.

The new Olympus Stylus 1s is now official in Japan and the premium shooter comes with only a couple of improvements over its predecessor.

The main improvements over the previous version is a smaller AF target and a new step-up zoom function.

The Olympus Stylus 1s will be released in Japan in mid-November for about 70,000 yen / $650. US availability of the premium camera is unknown at the moment.

The Stylus 1s features the same 12-megapixel sensor and the 28-300mm equivalent bright, fast telephoto i.Zuiko lens that boasts a constant aperture of f/2.8. Specs list also includes an electronic viewfinder and a tilting display on the back.
