Panasonic LX8 Premium Camera To Feature 24-90mm f/2.0-2.8 Lens
More information surfaced for the upcoming Panasonic LX8 digital camera. The high-end LX8 compact camera will have 24-90mm f/2.0-2.8 fixed lens and 4k video recording capabilities.
Panasonic’s goal is to make a high quality compact camera to compete against the newly announced Sony RX100M3.
The Sony RX100 III features 20.1 megapixel back-illuminated 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS sensor, latest Bionz X processor, a pop-up electronic viewfinder and a faster 24-70mm F1.8-2.8 lens. Currently the RX100 M3 high-end ultra compact shooter priced for $799.
Panasonic LX8 will replace LX7 and the new compact camera will sport a larger sensor and a built-in electronic viewfinder, when compared to its predecessor. The LX8 said to have a price tag of $899 and the official announcement of should be on July 16th. The premium camera will have a design like the current LX7.
