Sony has announced the development of Zeiss FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS and Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS lenses.
Along with the newly announced Sony A77 II A-mount APS-C DSLR camera, the two FE mount lenses said to be in the works and expected to be released in Summer, 2014.
Sony has a very limited selection of lenses that can natively be used with the A7 and A7r full frame mirrorless cameras. As mentioned in Sony’s roadmap more FE lenses are on the way.
According to sources Zeiss FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS and FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS power-zoom will be the next lenses for Sony’s full frame mirrorless camera line up.
Zeiss FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS and Sony 28-135mm f/4 Lenses
The new Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS will be a new ultra-wide-angle lens. The lens will be optically-stabilized and feature a constant aperture of f/4 throughout the ultra-wide-angle zoom range.
Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS will be a new power-zoom lens developed primarily for shooting video. The exact release dates and pricing have yet to be announced for both lenses.
