Sony RX2 is rumored to be announced this summer. The upcoming Sony RX2 will be the world’s first consumer camera with a curved image sensor and feature a fixed 35mm f/1.8 lens.
According to recent rumors, Sony RX1R replacement is rumored to be the RX2. The new digital compact camera will feature a curved full frame image sensor patented before. Sony also patented the 35mm f/1.8 lens designed specifically for a curved sensor camera.
Sony is rumored to announce new RX series cameras most likely around Photokina 2014 which will take place in September. As sources told that the new Sony RX cameras are under development and they will be announced in the following months.

Sony Rx2 expected to be the first camera to be announced this summer with a fixed 35mm f/1.8 lens and a curved full frame image sensor which increases the lens performance. Sony RX2 will replace the current RX1R full frame digital camera as follows.
