Sony RX100M3 digital camera is rumored to be announced next week on May 1 with new fast 28-100mm (35mm equivalent) f/1.8-2.8 lens and a pop-up viewfinder.
Sony RX100M3 name leaked in an official Sony camera manual yesterday. Now more details surfaced from trusted sources that the RX100M2 replacement camera will be announced along with the Sony A77 Mark II on May 1.
This will be the third RX100 model from Sony and the new digital camera will have a pop-up built-in EVF and recently patented 28-100mm f/1.8-2.8 lens.

The new lens spotted in a patent a while ago which describes a 10-36mm f/1.8-2.8 lens designed for a 1″ sensor (28-100mm equivalent) design for the RX100 series cameras.
This lens will be a huge improvement and a lot brighter when compared to the current 28-100mm f/1.8-4.9 lens used by the RX100/RX100II and also the successor model has no EVF.
Sony is also rumored to announce new RX series camera most likely around Photokina 2014 which will take place in September. Possible candidate is the Sony RX2 which is rumored to be the world’s first consumer camera with a curved image sensor and feature a fixed 35mm f/1.8 lens.
