Zeiss has announced the new Touit 50mm F2.8 prime lens for Sony and Fujifilm mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors. Zeiss Touit 50mm F2.8 Macro Lens sample images are now available and can be seen below. First samples captured by the Sony NEX-7, Fujifilm X-E2 and X-Pro1 mirrorless cameras.
The new Zeiss Touit 2.8/50M is a macro lens with a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:1 for close-up shooting and is equivalent to a 75mm lens in a 35mm system. The lens design features 14 elements in 11 groups and an iris diaphragm with nine rounded blades.

Like the other Touit lenses it includes autofocus, but no image stabilisation. The Touit 2.8/50M with Sony E and Fuji X mount will be available worldwide in March 2014. The lens price of EUR 755 or US $999.
