Canon EOS M2 Review : Sensor Performance and Test Results
More reviews and test results for the Canon EOS M2 mirrorless camera is now available. DxOMark has posted a review for the Canon EOS M2 and tested the sensor performance of the camera.
The Canon EOS M2 achieves a DxOMark score of 65 points and placed in 112th place in overall ranking. This ranking is a bit low compared to rivals for a current APS-C model and overall score matches the Canon’s EOS Rebel T3i / 600D camera.
Canon EOS M2 mirrorless shooter features an 18-megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 processing engine and a continuous shooting speed of 4.6 frames per second.

While it’s probably fair to say the original EOS M failed to capture the imagination of enthusiasts, the new mount has potential but it remains to be seen whether Canon will expand the range with a more advanced model aimed at more serious users. In the meantime, while it would have been nice to see the EOS M2 adopt the same sensor as the EOS 70D, it’s still an attractive option but right now it may be difficult to find on retailer’s shelves.
