Nikon D610 is expected to be on display during the Photo Plus Expo 2013 show at the end of October. This makes the announcement for D610 sometime before the PhotoPlus in October. Photoplus Expo will take place in New York from October 24 to October 26.
As previously rumored Nikon D610 is in the works. There will be no major differences between the D600 and the upcoming D610 cameras. As stated that the company will simply fix the dust / oil accumulation issue. The replacement of D600 will be the first announcement from Nikon.
Nikon D610 Will Be Displayed at PhotoPlus Expo 2013
Nikon USA has removed the D5100 and D600 cameras from its MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) list on September 14, 2013. This means that US dealers can now sell D600 and D5100 at any price they wish. This is also another sign that the D600 successor is coming in near future.
Nikon is selling D5200 is for $696.95 at Amazon, while the D600 price is $1,996.95 at amazon. The D600 will most likely get significant price reductions.
D5300 and D4x Are Other Expected Nikon Cameras
The Nikon D5300 will most likely to be another addition to the entry level DSLR area. Nikon D5300 announcement expected at CES 2014 show in Las Vegas in the first week of 2014.
A marginal improvement over the D5200, with built-in Wi-Fi and GPS functionality added and the same design as the D5200 expected. Nikon D4x is another DSLR camera to be announced. D4x most likely be released before the 2014 Winter Olympics.
