Nikon 1 Nikkor AW 10mm f/2.8 and 1 Nikkor AW 11-27.5mm f/3.5–5.6 Lenses Announced
Nikon has just announced the world’s first water and shockproof interchangeable lenses for use with the Nikon 1 AW1 mirrorless compact system camera.
The Nikon 1 Nikkor AW 11–27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 lens is a standard zoom equivalent a 30–74mm focal length in a 35mm system, while the 1 Nikkor AW 10mm f/2.8 is a 27mm equivalent wide-angle prime lens with a tough build and a metallic exterior.
Both lenses are waterproof to 15m and 20m shockproof from heights of up to 2m and freezeproof for temperatures down to -10°C. The Nikon 1 Nikkor AW 11–27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 will only be available in a kit with the Nikon 1 AW1 camera but the 1 Nikkor AW 10mm f/2.8 can also be bought separately.
1 NIKKOR AW 10mm f/2.8 Features

- A wide-angle, 10mm (angle of view equivalent to 27mm in 35mm [135] format) fixed focal length lens offering the same optical performance as the 1 NIKKOR 10mm f/2.8
- Minimum focus distance of 0.20 m (on land) The same elegant design as the Nikon1 AW1 for a sense of integration
- Supports auto distortion control (underwater)
