ZEISS Lens Garners EISA Award

The Touit 2.8/12 camera lens for mirrorless system cameras from Sony and Fujifilm has been honored by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).

This award is presented for products that combine particularly innovative technologies with high-quality performance and design features. In 2013, a ZEISS camera lens was selected as the best in its class.

At this year’s ceremony for the coveted EISA Awards, the international jury – comprised of the editors-in-chief of leading photography journals in 16 European countries – selected the Touit 2.8/12 lens as the “European Compact System Lens of the Year 2013 – 2014”.

ZEISS launched the new Touit lens family in June 2013. With the extreme wide-angle Touit 2.8/12 and the standard Touit 1.8/32 for Fujifilm X and Sony NEX cameras, ZEISS is entering the market for mirrorless system cameras with interchangeable autofocus lenses. This new line of lenses features an outstanding optical and mechanical design that fully utilizes the potential of compact system cameras. It also boasts a professional design that has garnered multiple design awards. The Touit 2.8/12 has already received the iF product design and red dot product design awards in addition to the EISA Award.
