Canon has officially announced the PowerShot SX620 HS compact camera with a 25x optical zoom lens and a 20.2-megapixel image sensor.
The superzoom travel companion camera offer a full-frame focal length equivalent of 25-625mm range which is better then the 25-450mm equiv. range of its SX610 predecessor. The digital compact shooter maintains the same sensor and 3-inch type LCD with 922k-dot pixels.
Other highlights include Full HD movie capture with Dynamic Image Stabilisation, a range of creative effects and filters, as well as WiFi and NFC. For direct uploads and new ways of sharing, the camera is also compatible with the Canon Connect Station CS100.
Canon PowerShot SX620 HS camera brings 25x optical zoom to pockets
Canon today announced the PowerShot SX620 HS, a compact, lightweight fixed-lens camera designed for travel photographers. The sensor is powered by a DIGIC 4+ image processor and users are able to record up to 2.5fps in continuous shooting mode.
The sensor and processor combine to form the Canon HS SYSTEM, which allows recording Full HD 1080p video at 30 fps, shooting stills at up to 7.1 fps, and working with sensitivities up to ISO 3200 to suit shooting in difficult lighting conditions.

The Canon PowerShot SX620 HS camera will start shipping from June, 2016. The price of the compact model will stand at $279.99 and available from B&H and Adorama stores.
